Yes, you’ll need a car to explore the various painting locations we’ve selected around St. Augustine. If you prefer to stay and paint on the beach, you can do that too! After signing up, you’ll be added to our private Facebook group where you can connect with other attendees to arrange car shares or find a roommate.

Yes and no. The city placed restrictions on congested tourism areas, but we have special permission to paint most places within America’s oldest city. (Another benefit to traveling with us!)

Eric Rhoads is the publisher of PleinAir magazine and several other art publications. He’s also an artist and the host of “Art School Live” on YouTube. The event is hosted by Streamline Publishing, Inc., a company founded by Eric in 1986.

We recommend bringing a pochade box (a plein air easel on a tripod) or a French easel, along with your preferred paints, panels or paper, brushes, and other essentials like sunscreen and a hat. Don’t worry—we’re here to help you every step of the way!
